Dr Hawkes is a leading Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon specialising in complex aesthetic eyelid surgery, with a particular interest in upper and lower blepharoplasty, Dr Elizabeth Hawkes is head of oculoplastic surgery at the internationally renowned Cadogan Clinic in Chelsea and one of the leading eye experts in the UK. She is known for her delicate surgery and meticulous attention to detail with advanced facial aesthetics for non-surgical facial and eye rejuvenation. She prides herself on natural looking results. She is also one of a very small group of aesthetic oculoplastic surgeons that performs intraocular surgery.
She has a particular interest in safety in the aesthetics industry. She serves as the oculoplastic surgeon on the clinical advisory board for the Aesthetics Journal and on the specialist advisory board for the Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative, an international organisation striving to improve the safety of aesthetics worldwide.
Dr Hawkes is a UK trained Consultant Ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She graduated from Imperial College, London and studied at Harvard Medical School, Boston. She undertook postgraduate medical and surgical training at St Mary's Hospital, London before embarking on a career in Ophthalmic Surgery. She completed Ophthalmic Surgical Training on the prestigious Oxford rotation and spent time at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Dr Hawkes is a full member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society.
